Terms of Service The rules for using Dekupa

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Dekupa, based in Türkiye ("Dekupa", "we", "us").

They apply to the website at dekupa.com and the invite-only product at app.dekupa.com (together, the "Service"). By joining the waitlist, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Dekupa is an AI assistant that turns a screenplay into a structured production breakdown. You can upload Final Draft (.fdx) and PDF files; the AI generates a first breakdown; you edit and confirm it; and you can export the result as Excel and CSV.

The AI produces a starting point, not a finished or guaranteed-accurate result. You are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and confirming every breakdown before relying on it.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter a binding contract.

The product is invite-only. Access is granted at our discretion. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.

Dekupa is currently in beta. This means the Service may be incomplete, may change, may contain errors, and may be interrupted or discontinued at any time.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated breakdowns will be accurate or complete.

During the beta, the Service is free, and every user receives 1,000 credits to use the breakdown features.

Credits have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be changed, expired, or removed as the beta evolves. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, we will give you notice before any charges apply to you.

You agree to use Dekupa only for lawful purposes and only with content you have the right to use. In summary, you must not:
- upload content that is illegal or infringes someone else's rights
- upload other people's confidential scripts without permission
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service
- misuse the AI features to generate unlawful or harmful output

You retain all rights to the screenplays you upload and to the breakdowns generated from them. Dekupa claims no ownership of your content.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service to you — including sending screenplay text (with identifying details masked) to our LLM sub-processor to generate breakdowns. This licence exists only so that the Service can function and ends when your content is deleted.

We do not sell your content, do not share it with third parties other than the sub-processors needed to run the Service, and do not use it to train AI models. Files are stored encrypted in the EU region. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The Dekupa name, software, design, and underlying technology belong to us and our licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly permitted.

Dekupa is a production-planning aid, not professional advice. AI-generated breakdowns may contain errors or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming any breakdown before using it for budgeting, scheduling, or any production decision.

We are not responsible for decisions you make, or losses you incur, based on AI output that you did not verify.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dekupa will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising from your use of the Service.

Because the Service is provided free during the beta, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service (which is currently zero) or EUR 100, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time by contacting [email protected].

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including if you breach these Terms or the Content & Acceptable-Use Policy, or if we discontinue the beta. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we will delete your content within a reasonable period, subject to any limited legal retention.

We may update these Terms as the Service develops. For material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you; continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, while we continue to honour the GDPR rights of users in the EU/EEA/UK. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections available to you under your local law.
